If You Think Jaylen Brown's Kyrie Comments Threw His GM And Coach Under The Bus You Haven't Been Paying Attention

Let me make myself crystal clear. If you think Jaylen threw Ainge/Stevens under the bus with these comments you my friend, are a moron. What have we known since the second Kyrie left? That nobody within this organization was going to assign blame to him for what happened. The players weren't going to, the coaches weren't going to, Wyc certainly didn't and neither did Ainge. They are making every effort to suggest that Kyrie was in fact NOT the problem. For crying out loud Danny Ainge just came out on national television and admitted he fucked up

then there was what Brad had to say after their season ended

and look, nobody hated Kyrie more than Jaylen. He hated that man like poison and we all could tell. Let's not forget this

so if he's now talking this way it's pretty clear this is the message that has been relayed from the top. Honestly what he said isn't even a lie. The Terry/Mook situations were way more about Brad/Ainge than they were Kyrie. Terry playing selfish and for his next deal wasn't because of Kyrie, and how Brad handled his minutes were a problem. Ainge not trading him at the deadline we eventually realized was a problem. Both have taken ownership of that. Then with Mook, he's another guy that Ainge most likely should have flipped while his value was highest, but seeing as how he carried this team over the first half that was a tough choice to make. Then you factor in how Brad/Ainge decided to bring back Hayward and what his role/usage would be and that falls on those two as well.

Anyone who says all the issues last year were solely because of Kyrie simply isn't being truthful. But neither are the Celtics when they give us this bullshit about how shit wasn't Kyrie's fault. Of he played a role, how could he not? But I hear these comments from Jaylen and I hear a guy who is simply giving the answer the team wants him to give. Would I rather he not say anything and just give a non answer because the last thing this team needs after a little two game skid is some bullshit meaningless drama? I sure do. But at the same time it's not like we heard anything that hasn't been said before by the people he's "accusing".

This is why 5 day breaks are never a good idea. I am crossing my fingers that this doesn't become a thing because the last thing this team needs is more questions about last season. Who cares who was at fault, who cares what happened, can we please instead focus on not being absolutely fucking pathetic with 4th quarter defense? Seems like a better use of everyone's time.
